Finishing
The finishes available on die-castings are wide and varied, ranging from traditional wet paint stove enamel through electrostatic powder coatings to decorative and/or protective chrome or gold plating.
At Zincast we use a wide variety of finishes across our customer base, and have a close working relationship with our specialist sub contractors to ensure top quality products.
Some examples of our every day production include;
Domestic products
We currently manufacture parts that are powder coated aluminium castings, zinc die castings that are polished and chromium plated to service condition 4,in addition to a range of products that receive a bright zinc plated finish for both decorative and protective use.Industrial products.
These usually receive a very high standard of powder coated finish with demanding specifications on thickness of coating and colour matching.
We pay careful attention at all stages of production to the handling of our castings, our production process starts with careful monitoring of surface finish at the casting stage and continues with any special handling requirements, i.e.special packing or stacking,through to the finished product.
The aim is to monitor quality at every stage.
Some of these finishes are very specialised with an extremely high standard of finish being an essential part of our customer’s demands. In order to achieve this we use modern methods of computer aided design and this coupled with our many years of practical experience gives us an advantage over our competitors in being able to offer the finished product.
