Gravity Die Casting
The gravity die casting process allows for much larger castings (up to approx. 15kgs.) and can offer much thicker sections.Excellent casting integrity can be achieved and heat treatment, stabalisation and/or impregnation can further enhance both mechanical and other properties.
Gravity die-casting is usually associated with lower volumes than that of pressure die-casting and can offer much reduced initial tooling costs.
Tolerances and coring out details are not as good as pressure casting but good design principles can achieve very intricate castings.
